‘The Latent City’ awarded by Ecofilms, Greece

KrishBose2 The Latent City awarded by Ecofilms, GreeceThe Latent City, a film by Krishnendu Bose, has been awarded the Second Best Film Award in the Medium Length Films category at the 2010 Ecofilms festival in Athens, Greece (22 to 27 June 2010).

The Latent City, distributed by Under Construction, is on the 48 Degrees Celsius: the first contemporary public art ecology project in India to raise consciousness towards Delhi, India’s ecological concerns, and that of the world.

Two more films from Under Construction also participated in the festival:

Volume Zero by Arun Khopkar (Competition Medium Length)
Death Life etc. by Arghya Basu (Panorama)

The festival, organized by the Rodοs International Film and the Visual Arts Festival, showcased 111 films from all over the world on environmental and ecological themes, encouraging conservation on issues related with the natural, the human and the built environment. There were 15 Feature Length films, 19 Medium Length films, 57 Short Length films and 20 films in the Panorama section of the festival.
