As part of 12th Madurai International Documentary and Short Film Festival 2010, a competition is being organised  for Tamil films to remember Sarat Chandran, a friend, activist and film maker.  Tamil documentaries and short films produced after 2008 on issues dealing with human rights issues and peoples’ struggles are invitedl.

Documentaries and Short films made about Tamil speaking people all over the world or issues dealing with Tamilnadu can be sent. Films should be originally made in Tamil; they should not be dubbed or subtitled in Tamil from other languages.

One person can send any number of entries. Only one film can be submitted per entry. Only a few selected films will be screened.  Certificate of participation will be given to the selected films.

Best 2 films will be awarded among the selected films. Jury decisions are final.
Renowned filmmakers will honour the winners.
