Three Under Construction Directors have received awards at the recently concluded IDSFFK in Kerala, organized by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy.
K. R. Manoj received the Best Feature Documentary award for A Pestering Journey. For the same film, its cinematographer Shehnad Jalal received the Navroz Contractor award for best cinematography. Under Construction distributes another of K. R. Manoj’s film ‘16mm – Memories, Movement and a Machine‘.
Spandan Banerjee received a Special Mention (Feature Documentary) for his latest film You Don’t Belong, which had its world premiere at the 2011 edition of Persistence Resistance. Under Construction distributes his earlier film ‘Beware Dogs‘.
Avijit Mukul Kishore, whose ‘Snapshots from a Family Album‘ is distributed by Under Construction, also received a Special Mention, in the Short Documentary category for his film The Vertical City.

Renu Savant (Special Jury Mention) for The Elephant
Nina Sabnani (Special Jury Mention) for It’s the Same Story
Barun de Joardar (Special Jury Mention for Cinematography) for Open Doors
Aditi Chitre, Pritam Das (Special Jury Mention for Sound Design) for Journey to Nagaland
