Signs 2012 awards

The recently concluded SIGNS 2012 film festival held at Palakkad, Kerala between Feb 17th to 21st 2012, announced the John Abraham National Awards of 2012.

Among the films that were awarded at the festival, FRIED FISH, CHICKEN SOUP AND A PREMIERE SHOW, directed by Mamta Murthy and produced by Madhusree Dutta, received the BEST DOCUMENTARY AWARD.

The CINEMA OF RESISTANCE award went to Amlan Datta’s BOM – aka ONE DAY AHEAD OF DEMOCRACY.

PARTNERS IN CRIME, directed by Paromita Vohra and produced by Magic Lantern Foundation, received a SPECIAL MENTION FROM THE JURY in the SIGNS 2012 .
